Liam had his check up today to see how his first full week home went. And he gained 9 ounces! He's now 4 lbs 11 oz. That was his largest weight gain ever! He must like it here! ;-) We sure do love having him home with us. It was hard to adjust to being his mom full time. I always have had someone else there with him and monitors watching his heart and breathing! Liam loves being held. All those days laying in an isolette you'd think he'd be used to being alone in a bed... but nope...he'd rather be held now. The little stinker sleeps with me part of the night! But I'm not complaining!

In the family cradle... which all the kids used and was my doll cradle when I was a little girl...
In the hands of his Mimi...

After 106 days Liam is finally home! It is extremely bittersweet. I thought it would be nothing but joy to be home but it is hard to be here with out Brady and with the knowledge of the struggles Liam will face.

Liam had one more cranial ultrasound before we left and it showed that his cerebellum is small/underdeveloped. He will be getting an MRI in a month to see how he is functioning. I was shocked to hear this news as we had not been told anything from his previous ultrasound. The cerebellum controls balance and coordination and problems can range from mild to severe. Please pray with us that Liams brain development will proceed well and his eyes will grow wonderfully. He's already been through so much...

Well- One year ago today Kyle Ann was born... It has been a trying year to say the least...
Liam's eye exam went well. He doesn't have to be examined for another 3-4 weeks and he will have to see a specialist in Raleigh. Continued prayer for his vision because his eyes still have to fully develop... He's at high risk for crossed yees, lazy eye and near sightedness.
He's at 3 lbs 14 1/2 oz. We are almost to 4 lbs! ;-) He's getting a belly! We are still working in his feedings. He nurses decently but doesn't do well with bottles at all. And he still gets all his feedings at night through his tube...
