March 26, 2008- follow up to March 23th-

Hello Anonymous! Do I know you? ;-) Liam is 9 weeks corrected. Liam has had CDSC come out and evaluate him twice. He will get OT monthly. Liam is doing what he should be doing for his age with the exception of sight related issues. He doesn't track, bat at toys etc... He bats at his toys but not with purpose cuz he doesn't really see them yet. Still praying for that one. Liam has until the end of June for his eyes to focus on me first. He's behind due to his laser surgery and maybe the cerebellum... PRAYING HARD! But Liam is social- he loves to smile when you play with him. He even smiles now when I wake him first thing in the morning. He rolls over from belly to back, he looks for me and toys when we make noise and he is over all a very good baby. And no feeding issues right now- Praise God!

Yes, you know me from TMMB. I'm Malie (Shamrocklily). My girls were born very early on December 10th at 26w3d. I've been following Liam's triumphs since he was born. He's a wonderful miracle. :)

I think he is doing so wonderful. How are you doing? This has been an exhausting year for you I am sure. Your family has been blessed with an adorable miracle-I truely love the pictures of him-he looks so sweet.

Jennifer you really need to stay on top of the CDSA. They often have evaluations done by a single person like an OT. The OT will evaluate all areas including speech and PT. This isn't always good practice. Many of my families through the CDSA will request evaluations from each of the areas. Who is your case manager?

He looks terrific! I have a friend who is an excellent pediatric PT if he ever needs help. She works all over the area in NICUs and homes.

Jen...as I've stated a while back, I don't know you personally but the email about the prayer pager you had was sent to me by a friend of a friend of yours. So to answer your question, YES I STILL READ THE BLOG. LOL. I've been checking it since I received that email and I talk about Liam often to my family and friends. He is a miracle and is going to continue to progress very well. As we already know and continue to say, GOD IS ABLE. I will continue to pray and believe that Liam will be able to see and his circumcision will go well also. You all stay encouraged and be blessed!

My email is speechbridge@earthlink.net. Feel free to call me. I've never worked with Lori because she doesn't work in Pamlico County. I do know a great OT who lives in Trent Woods. She may be looking for some clients over the summer. But I don't know for sure. There are some that I would steer you away from though.
